Put on your gloves and fight!

The mind can take you on a wild journey...

Fun and not-so-fun.

You have the power to control how you feel at all times.

Sometimes you get angry, 
sad or 
disappointed. 

You're human. 

Never a good idea to stay there though.

 Imagine watching a boxer fight.

He takes jab after jab as he fights his opponent,

Until...

That time comes when he gets KO'd.

Just because he's down doesn't mean he lost,

Unless...

He stays down.

 If you stay in a negative state-of-mind,

you will lose your fight.

The more jabs you take 
The stronger you become. 

Winning takes work,

Replace your negative thoughts with positive thoughts.

True champs always rise up!

If your breathing right now,

Consider yourself a champ. 

Shake it off, believe in yourself and FIGHT!

The sky is breaking, clouds are fading...

Luminous sun rays are shining through...

Life is grand although rain storms happen.

Shouldn't take your joy though.

Beauty exists in rain.

Water makes trees grow.

Challenges make you stronger.

Don't run from---

But towards them.

Find pleasure in the small things,

Control only what you can.

Breathe.

Smile.

Live lightheartedly.

Partnership

When a person close to me talks bad about me, 

 it disappoints me because....  

I could be helping you

 You could be helping me

Together we could be throwing

Words of encouragement back and forth.....

Creating a bond so strong

The average person stands in disbelief

When we soar to the top! 

But then again--

 I realize 
We're positioned at different levels on the mountain,

Climbing...
Not really knowing what the person up there knows,

Just what he knows and will continue to know

If he doesn't think beyond the obvious things.

Roses are Me.

This morning
 I woke up to the smell of fresh roses. 
Bright colors 
and potent scents 
surrounded me. 
Although, 
it was a dream 
within a dream, 
they still smelled good 
and 
I was still powerful...

Zay's Lesson

Today, I watched my 4-yr old son get knocked out by the Wii Computer. Immediately, he threw the remote on the floor and started bawling! I knelt down beside him and asked him why he was so upset. Woefully he said "Mommy I hate to lose."  I told him sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. When we lose, we keep trying, until we win. He said, "Mommy I just wanna be good and win."  I told him just because you win doesn't mean your good.  "Practicing" makes you good. That's why you go to your basketball practice during the week before your game, so that you can be "really good".

Later down the road, he'll understand the many lessons in that statement, but for now he understood the gist and kept trying. I love teaching my children lessons about life.

Isn't it funny how losing or failing at something can teach you a powerful lesson and give you the opportunity to be thankful for the overall experience that made you hurt, cry or scream?   Then when you really think about it, sometimes losing a "title" is far better if you won the "lesson".
