“Everyday is an Opportunity to get Closer to your Goal.”

One thing I will not accept from my family is “sloppy work.” If your going to do something, your going to do it right, the first time. Time is way too precious to waste having to clean up messy work. As a matter of fact, while your mumbling, grumbling and playing because you don't wanna do the work, somebody else is passing you up. Yes, we all have our own race to run, but when 5..10 years go by, guess who's going to be reaping the reward of hard work?

I refuse to have an unsuccessful family. I spent all morning coaching my son through his chores. I actually had to stop what I was doing, to coach him through. I'll be honest, at first I was annoyed because I got stuff to do and he's 7 years old. He knows better than this foolishness... But when I thought about it, I had to laugh. He's a 7 year old boy who wants to jump and play ball. (Know your child.) My job as the parent is to be as patient as possible. (Parents are the leaders.) Yelling only escalates tears and frustration as well as discourages the result. (Kids do what we do.) My job as the leader is to show him the reward that hard work produces. (Be the example.)

Parents, coaches, leaders... Although it's important to be firm, it's effective to be calm.

Ps: Happy Mother's Day Moms! Our job is a continuous work.
